Breaches are a new type of dungeons that were introduced with season 5 (Season of the Infernal Hordes). These are relatively short, but offer constant action and provide a good way to farm XP, loot and Mother's Gifts (which can be exchanged for more loot).
In these dungeons you gather Aether which can be used to open boxes with loot after defeating the boss of the dungeon.
The player visits "The Dúlra Breach" for the "An Old and Angry Wound" season quest. The quest introduces this new type of dungeon.
