There you have constant action because the enemies spawn in several waves. Between the waves you can choose to make the encounter more difficult to gain more Aether. Aether can be exchanged for loot or gold after finishing the dungeon. The waves contain multiple enemies as well as special objectives like destroying Atheric Masses or killing Aether Fiends.
