Avarice is one of the world bosses / world events in Diavlo IV. World events happen at more or less fixed intervalls. You get achievements and pretty good loot for beating such an event or boss. As you can see the fight was pretty tough and some players died and respawned multiple times. But the fight was still an interesting one because the Avarice attacks differently after losing more and more health.
